Induction
How to correctly use the IKEA LAGAN induction hob
Please handle the hob with care.
The surface is glass and can scratch or crack if a heavy object is dropped on it or if a pot with a sharp / dirty bottom is slid across it. Please do not use it as a cutting board!
The original printed manual can be found in the drawer under the oven.
Before use
Only use cookware suitable for induction (available in the apartment)
Always place the pot or pan directly on the cooking zone; check the bottom.
Do not place unnecessarily heavy items, glass, mugs, or sharp objects on the hob.
Do not slide pots across the hob — it is better to always lift them slightly.
Switching on and cooking
Place a suitable pot or pan on the burner.
Turn on the hob using the on / off button.
Select the burner you wish to use.
Set the desired power level using + / −.
After you finish cooking, turn off both the burner and the entire hob.
Important notice
If the hob does not respond, it often means that:
there is no suitable pot on it,
the pot is not positioned correctly on the cooking zone,
the control panel is wet or covered,
the hob is locked or still hot.
Protection against scratches and cracks
Please:
do not slide pots and pans across the glass,
do not use the hob as a storage surface,
do not place heavy objects on it,
please be careful not to drop anything on the stovetop,
do not use steel wool or abrasive cleaning agents,
do not cut on it.
If a heavy object falls on the hob and the glass cracks, please stop using the hob and let us know.
After use
Turn off the hob.
Do not touch the cooking zones while they are hot.
Once cooled, gently wipe the hob with a soft cloth.
Please wipe up spilled liquids or food residue as soon as possible after cooling.
Thank you for handling the hob with care and helping us keep it nice for future guests.
